I was excited to go into my daughters grade 3 class at the school last week. The idea I had for their lesson was from: http://www.deepspacesparkle.com/2011/01/23/waterfront-houses-art-lesson/
The class had been learning about communities and reflections. So I thought that this project was highly suitable. Rather than using premixed secondary colours, I encouraged the kids to mix their own colours. I loved how different each picture turned out.
I live in Southern Ontario on a farm with my husband, Dennis, and our two daughters. Painting out of my studio on our farm allows me to stay close to my family and to be surrounded by the natural landscape that continues to influence my work.
